Boudoir Photography : Falling in love with yourself

I’ve started boudoir photography and don’t think I’ll ever stop. I found it. I found what I love photographing.

Strong. Sensual. Beautiful. Powerful.

This has always been what I wanted to capture when I photograph women. Capturing portraits in such an intimate setting is something that I never thought I’d be doing but now it seems perfect.

The images on this page are all self-portraits. I realized that before I could do this for clients, I needed to be able to do it for myself. I went through fear, anxiety, annoyance, and all the things that one does when they first strip down for a photo.

But by the end of it, I was moving, I was dancing, and I wasn’t worried about getting it all perfect. I chose the main image because I honestly love it. My legs look great, my hair looks great, but my favorite part is that my back rolls are showing and I think they look beautiful. Taking the pictures was hard, and looking through all of them was even harder. I know it sounds cheesy, but by the end, I was falling in love with my body. I saw the flaws but I also saw the beauty. Do I want to share a lot more of my pictures to the entire world? No. But will I keep all of these for myself? You bet.

This experience is what will guide my boudoir photography business. I want women to come and discover themselves. I want to pose and photograph them in the most flattering ways that I can. I want them to see their flaws, but I also want them to see their beauty. And if they don’t want to share these images with anyone, or only share them with their husband, or share them with the whole world, then that’s okay with me.

I’ve now done several boudoir shoots with women, just like me, and I’ve gotten incredible images from them. I have their permission to share some of them, and I certainly will. I’ve got more shoots coming up and I will soon be opening this experience to everyone.

This genre is very polarizing and it can make some people uncomfortable, which is okay. I can guarantee that I take my clients’ and models’ privacy extremely seriously. I will never share images without their permission and I will never share photos of genitalia. My style does not include erotic images, or implied sexual behavior. I am proud of my mission and of the business that I’m creating.

I hope you stick around and I can’t wait to share more of my work with you.
